Delegates

Delegates and activists in the workplace are the key to the strength of United Voice. In a union with over 120,000 members across thousands of workplaces and occupations, the role of a delegate is challenging, varied and exciting. Delegates are the face of United Voice and also the heart and soul of our organising union. Delegates are members who have agreed to become more active in the union because they are passionate about creating a better workplace and improving their lives and the lives of their workmates.

As a democratic organisation, United Voice delegates are often nominated by co-workers to represent and organise their workplace. Delegates link up United Voice members, their union and the union’s staff working in branches. Delegates are important to the union winning change because they are the workplace leaders who are the driving force behind keeping members strong and united.

United Voice is a union of workers organising to win better jobs, stronger communities, a fairer society and a sustainable future.
