Member Organiser

The ACT Branch of United Voice is keen to find an ECEC member who would like to work full-time for six months on the Big Steps Campaign. 
 
Organising work requires many of the skills that we often find amongst our early childhood educator members.  Strong work ethic and energy, a commitment to human rights, great communication skills, persistence, flexibility, and resilience.
 
The role of an ECEC organiser is to build power across the sector and to assist ECEC members to take on the fight for equal pay and win!
 
Training will be provided so if you would like to give organising work a go and you think you may have the attributes and skills we are looking for please send me a one-page response letting me know why you are interested and why you think you would be able to fill the role.
 
This 6-month fixed term employment is on the basis of:
  1. Fixed 6-month term employment;

  2. Your position will work on the Big Steps Campaign;

  3. Salary at Entry Level 1 of the United Voice National Officials Structure which is currently $47,708 per annum;

  4. An additional motor vehicle allowance which is currently $13,987 per annum;

  5. Other conditions of employment are as per the United Voice National Conditions of Employment of Officers document,

  6. Your fixed term employment is subject to you successfully obtaining and upholding your Right of Entry permit and maintaining your driver’s license as your right of entry and your driver’s licence are requirements of your employment.
