Winning for members
Employment practices and the laws governing them are far more complex than they once were. More than ever, workers need assistance in ensuring that employers provide the correct conditions and wages.
In the past, unions generally had one or two legally qualified members on staff.
In today’s industrial environment, this model is no longer sufficient to provide the level of assistance that members expect and demand from their union.
United Voice has recognised this, and responded to the changing workplace environment over the last ten years.
The United Voice SA Branch Legal and Industrial team has no rival in the SA Union movement.
Each year the team’s activities result in millions of dollars going into members’ pockets where it rightfully belongs.
United Voice members cannot afford to hire private lawyers, but with their membership dues they ensure they always have legal advice and representation regarding their employment whenever needed.
