A Tassie cleaner was on worker’s compensation from her job at the Cadbury Factory.
As a member of United Voice, the cleaner found out she wasn’t receiving all of her entitlements.
She wasn’t accruing her annual leave entitlements, which the cleaning contractor GJK was meant to provide.
Under state laws, annual leave accrues for workers on workers' compensation in NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.
With the backing of her union, United Voice, the cleaner demanded her rights and was back paid $4,502.78.
