Casino worker members at Star Gold Coast have successfully negotiated a spectacular new EBA.
In addition to a 12% pay rise over the life of the agreement, the bargaining team was able to lock in a minimum of 32 hours per fortnight for part-timers with provisions to allow casuals and part-timers the chance to secure more permanent jobs and full-time jobs.
Other big wins include an increase from six to 10 weeks of paid parental leave and five days paid domestic violence leave.
Great things happen when union members unite on-site with the determination to bargain for a type of deal all working people deserve.
