Cleaners at iconic Melbourne landmark Flinders Street Station were forced, after a contract change, to sign casual contracts replacing their permanent positions or lose their jobs completely.
Three union members fought for their jobs and were reinstated on permanent contracts!
When members stand up and fight – they win!
But every contract change brings new fights for these workers.
Without being able to bargain across an industry they are left losing entitlements and potentially their job each time.
