Paramedics are on the frontline, saving lives and serving their community.
Now, the Government has agreed to cover one of the compulsory fees they have to pay to keep getting out there every day.
Victorian Minister for Health Jill Hennessy recently announced that the Government have agreed to pay the upfront paramedic registration application fee of $190 for all members currently employed by Ambulance Victoria.
Paramedics already pay thousands of dollars to gain their expertise so while it might seem small, this is a welcome change and a sign paramedics are getting the respect they deserve.
This also brings them in line with their Queensland counterparts, who secured the same agreement a few months ago.
Congrats to all United Voice Paramedic members, and thanks for all you do.
You deserve a job you can count on.
